Chesterfield County Fair Association Scholarship Award
The Chesterfield County Fair Association, Inc. is offering two $1,000 scholarships to be awarded to individuals seeking a formal education beyond high school.
Eligibility requirements:
The applicant must be a citizen of the U.S., a resident of Chesterfield County and never been convicted of a criminal offense.
The applicant must be a graduating high school senior with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher (a”C” average) or have received a GED within one year of submission of an application for the scholarship.
Applications must be postmarked no later than April 1.
The scholarship is not based on sex, race, religion, financial need, class rank or scholastic major.
While membership in the Chesterfield County Fair Association, Inc. or participation in the Chesterfield County Fair is not required, it will be considered as part of the application process.
An award decision will be made in early May of the year in which the award is made and payment will take place upon proof of acceptance and enrollment in a program of post secondary education. Payment will be made directly to the designated school. Winners will be asked to submit a short biography and picture for use in our fair catalog and on our website.
The goal of the Chesterfield County Fair Association, Inc., through these scholarships, is to help prepare a better future for Chesterfield County and its residents.
In order to be considered for this scholarship, each applicant must meet the above requirements and must submit a completed application. The application can be completed online and then printed and mailed to the Scholarship Chairman. A copy of the applicant's official transcript should be sent by their school to the Scholarship Chairman.
