2009 SEARCH FOR THE BEST ANGEL FOOD CAKE Chesterfield Fair will again participate in the Virginia Egg Council cake contest. Enter at the local fair on Thursday, August 27, 2009, between 3 & 8 P.M. Judging will take place on Friday morning, August 28, 2009 (closed to the public). This cake must be made with 10 large eggs. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners at local fairs will be invited to participate in the State Championship. Local winners will receive gift bags from the Egg Council. Local winners will be notified by the State Fair when it is time to re-create your cake and bring it to the State Fair. State Fair 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners will receive monetary amounts. For additional information, visit www.statefairva.org.
